Writing topic 2
In the novel, The Revealers, the students of Parkland Middle felt connected through SchoolStream or as the students called it KidNet where they were able to chat or instant message. Most of you do this nightly through MSN Messenger. With KidNet and MSN nobody could break into or eavesdrop on your conversation without it being known. Not anymore. Today’s technology allows you to assume the identity of another person. Do you really know whom you are talking to in the cyber world?
It is 10:00 pm on a Wednesday night; you have finished your homework and you are chatting on MSN with three other friends. After 10 minutes two more friends ask to join the chat. By 10:30 pm five more people have joined and it is fun; however, there is a joke said about one of the people, rapidly followed by an insult. At first, no one knows how to respond, then seconds later a message pops up stating, “I didn’t say that! It isn’t me saying these things. Someone is using my name. What is going on here?”
What is the issue involved in this scenario? Why is this serious?
Answer: By talking too much with other people in MSN it's quite easy to get confused with who are you talking with and it ended up you might be gossiping about someone elses, and you are actually talking to that person. It would make a huge mess and you would be in trouble or maybe humiliated at the same time. That is one reason of why sometims you should be carefull. If you're afraid that someone is going to hank you're MSN, you can always try not to REVEAL your password! It's a warning to everyone who doesn't want to get in trouble or especially humiliated!
What would be a responsible way to handle this situation?
Answer:A responsible way to handle this situation is to not reveal your password, but I think that it's also better to talk to at least one person at a time or maybe 2 or 3. Also another way is to see first who are you talking to before you write anything! Most troubles Kids are getting now is that they add anyone to their MSN without even knowing who they are, and it very dangerous!
How could a situation like this be resolved? How would one of the three main characters from The Revealers deal with this situation?
Answer:It's harder when the person doesnt REVEAL their name because you might mistakenly talk about someone else or maybe trying to figure out who is this person, but sometimes you can make a HUGE mess! Also might be hard to get away with it. Also like what Bethany did, she pretended that her story came from another person and "blame" it on herself. Sometimes it's better to not do anything then making a huge mess!

The Revealers
Blog Writing Topic
Blog response Instructions: When Richie punches Russell in the face, his mother wants to call the principal, however, Russell wants to keep quite about the whole incident. Russel's mom's response was, "I'm not doing nothing. If one adult did this to another, he be in jail. Why should it be different for kids?"
Blog Question: Should kids solve their own problems or should adults/parents get involved? Explain.
Post:
I think kids should be allowed to solve their own problems without any inteference by adults or parents, unless it becomes extremely very violence. Sometimes a small problem can lead into a big problem when the parents are getting involved, because many of them were not interested in helping to solve it, but they were more keen in punishing the other kid/s. Sometimes when you leave the matter alone, at the end it can be solved easily. Such as in page 46, Russell wanted his mom not to do anything because she will probably will cause more mess if she tells everyone including the principal. Besides the boy who hit him, was helping him after that. He thought it's okay because they were just kids.
But, I shall recommend that parents should be in contact with the other kid/s's parents first if the problem is extremely serious, as on how to solve it between them before they involved the principal.
However, Russell's mom's was right too, because as his mom, she was very concern about the incident so that this would not be happen again.

Hi :]
Hi:]
My very first time signing-in into Blogger, not sure how but I have to catch this speedy technology! Being able to travel and changing school one after another is seems to be a blessed for some people. I feel the same but after sometimes, I am kind of exhausted! Whoever have or had been in my shoes, I am sure you´ll understand the frustration I am facing.
But it´s funny because this is something that I couldn´t say no to my parents to this constant travelling and moving, because it gives me many opportunities to see the real world!
I am an easy going type of person, friendly but I am not fond of anyone that loves gossiping! I love animals, especially cats and dogs. I like an outdoor activities like soccer, field hockey, touch rugby and swimming. I speak English, hablo Español, and prata lite svenska!
U can call me Friennette, because I am a Friendly Brunnette!
That´s all for now.....
